Enrollment

To qualify for residency at SHL individuals must meet the following:

    •    Have verifiable income (SSI, SSDI, pension, veteran benefits, employment, etc.)

    •    Ability to perform basic self-care or have support services in place

    •    Agree to community living rules and program guidelines

    •    Provide valid ID and emergency contact information

    •    Pass a simple background screening (no recent violent offenses)

    •    Substance-free or actively engaged in a recovery program (if applicable)

We welcome:

    •    Individuals seeking a stable, supportive, family-style environment

Provide basic personal information, medical/benefits details, and housing needs.

    3.    Assessment Meeting

We conduct a brief interview to ensure our services are the right fit.

    4.    Approval & Move-In

Once approved, you’ll receive a move-in date, welcome packet, and room assignment
